and Games — MusiCarnival
time is here!

the MusiCarnival
Realizing that “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” the
Greater Shreveport Music Teachers Association is again
sponsoring a fun-filled event for music lovers, young and old. Combining
the newest technology with
well-established concepts of teaching, the MusiCarnival presents
exciting performances, demonstrations of musical instruments, computer
and music theory
games, door prizes, and a snack bar.
Parents and students attending
the MusiCarnival will find that today’s
teaching methods bear little resemblance to the drudgery and boredom associated
with music lessons in years past. Today’s lessons are designed to be
both enjoyable and interesting. Each game player at the MusiCarnival receives
a door prize ticket, and can earn Music Money points redeemable for prizes.
Make plans now to attend
this year’s MusiCarnival which will be held
on Saturday, September 17, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
in the gym of the
Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, 1915 Grover Place, Shreveport,
Louisiana 71105.
This event is free to students of GSMTA teachers and all adults. Siblings
and friends wishing to compete for prizes pay a nominal fee of $1.00
The snack
bar offers hot dogs, nachos, ice cream and soft drinks.
GSMTA is affiliated with both Louisiana and National
Music Teachers Associations.
