Honors Recital

Any original composition including the pre-staff level is acceptable. Pieces must be at least 12 measures in length; memorization is required. No transcriptions of original solos are permitted. Entry forms will be available below to be printed and mailed UNFOLDED in a large envelope with entry fee to Carla Goben. Each teacher must send ONE check for all students made out to GSMTA. Students will be scheduled by age groups. Special scheduling requests may be made if there is a dire need. Please mark such special requests on a sticky note on the student's form. Please indicate siblings if you want siblings to be scheduled close together. NO LATE ENTRIES.
All participants will receive a personal ranking and certificate. Points are cumulative from year to year even if a student does not participate in consecutive festivals. Students receive trophies when they accumulate 15, 30, 45, and 60 points. The judges will select approximately thirty students to receive the Superior+ rating and perform in the Honors Recital.
